What is Toki Pona?
Sonja Lang created the language Toki Pona in the year 2001. Her aim was minimalism. Toki Pona consists of only about 120 words, which are not altered. In accordance with the position in the sentence, the words can vary their significance. To describe more detail you have to combine words.
It is not the goal of Toki Pona to describe complex issues. Dissertations and scientific papers will never written in Toki Pona. Lawyers, bureaucrats, theologians and politicians are warned of the side-effect of this language.
It is not the aim of Toki Pona to solve the communication problems in the world. But you can learn this language in a month. Toki Pona is easy in an intelligent way and yoga for the brain. People who hate nested subordinate clauses and commas will certainly have fun with Toki Pona.

This app is AMAZING
Wow! I’m shocked! Within 9 hours I had 2 hours left! I also went outside for about 2 hours and took a 30 minute run so the effectiveness of this app really shows! I 100% recommend this to anyone who wants to learn toki pona! My sister has 1 lesson left and she’s been learning for 6 hours and like me, has taken many breaks! Download this app now!
ona li pona tawa mi
It’s basically duolingo but for one specific language. Really good app👍 one small problem: when I was learning the second skill, I got words showing up that I hadn’t learnt yet, such as len or seli. Otherwise an amazing app
Really enjoying learning with this app
ilo li pona
The app is simple but very effective. Each lesson starts with a short list of new words and a grammar tip. It feels great to progress through the lessons unlocking new vocabulary.
The app reads new words aloud. I wish it read out the example sentences too, but that’s a minor quibble
