Description
The Thrive Hearing Control app works seamlessly with sensor-enabled hearing aids to give you complete control of your hearing. Change settings easily, adjust volume quickly, create customized memories, and stream music or phone calls with the touch of a button.
The Thrive app also gives you access to Healthable features like social engagement and activity tracking. You can set goals and your Engagement Score and Activity Score will track how close you are to meeting them daily. The Thrive app also offers information services like Thrive Assistant, Translate, Transcribe, and Self Check, which lets you check your hearing aid performance without an office visit.

The Thrive app works with sensor-enabled and MFi-certified hearing aids from Starkey, Audibel, NuEar, MicroTech and AGX® Hearing. These hearing aids must be purchased from a hearing professional. Fall Alert and Activity and Engagement tracking are only available with sensor-enabled hearing aids.

Needs considerable development
Conceptually a great app but much too clunky at present: very slow response when changing settings; frequently locks up; EQ in particular appears to be very poor - sliders will often simply fail to work; adding new memories is often not intuitive. Building new custom memories is also not easy to do well as, other than through trial and error, it is not obvious what settings are like to work best in particular circumstances. This is particularly an issue given that it does not appear possible to have more than 4 of the preprogrammed settings on the aids (the others, which appear to be saved on the app are all ‘custom’ and so determined by the user); so ‘restaurants’ is not among my pre-programmed options as I have prioritised other options but it is not clear how best to replicate the restaurant setting as a custom memory using the app.
This is my first set of truly sophisticated hearing aids. The aids themselves appear to be very good but I suspect I am not getting as much out of them as I could - there are three main issues from my perspective: the app is not as good as it should be; I need better information on which settings in the app are likely to work best in particular circumstances; it would be much better if more than 4 preprogrammed memories were available.
Hearing aid app
This app is consistently poor. No matter how many times I delete and download the app again it very seldom connects and when it does it usually fails again within 24hours. Very disappointing and frustrating.
Quality of noise reduction in speech, noise etc
I find that the hearing aids are very good quality, although hearing in a someone face to face in a crowd can still be tough. As for thé Thrive App, the adjustment level regarding noise reduction in speech is weak and of poor quality (barely any difference noticed from lowest to highest setting. So this can be frustrating.
The sensitivity of the fall alerts, on the other hand, is too great. Even if not Bluetooth connected, the alert sounds in total twelve times at unexpected moments, so if if someone is talking to you, you’ll miss something important being said. This can be quite irritating.
Please fix these significant issues.
