Text Reading Age Checker uses your device's camera and four recognised reading age calculation techniques* to work out the approximate reading age of the book or worksheet in front of you. Scan more pages of a book for a more accurate reading.
You can store a history of the texts you have scanned to check your progress.

Great in theory ...
I really love the concept of this and I downloaded it in the hopes of helping our year 3 class find better books based on their reading age. Unfortunately I think the algorithm must be slightly off as it’s flagging Y3 recommended books up as 16 years old. I think once the logistics are fixed this could be a great tool for the classroom.

Thank you. Can you tell us which books it flagged at that age? That will help us fine tune. Also, the more pages you scan the more accurate the reading.

RUBBISH
I recommend you don’t get this all it does is tell you to take a photo of your book and then it will tell you your reading age instead of asking you questions about it and then giving you a score.I really recommend you don’t get this because I don’t want you to feel how disappointed and dissatisfied I am.Thankyou.

If you read the description there is no mention of questions. The app has one simple purpose which is to tell you the reading age of a text.
