Description
The Teachers2Parents App brings together all the communications you receive from your child's school via Teachers2Parents and SchoolMoney into one simple, easy to use app.
If your school uses our Teachers2Parents and/or SchoolMoney products, you can:
• Sync with all your schools, nurseries and clubs that use Teachers2Parents and/or SchoolMoney.
• Get an instant overview of outstanding payments, notifications, recent messages, and more in the home page.
If your school uses the Teachers2Parents messaging platform, within the app you will be able to:
• View all of your messages from the school in the message feed.
• Have term dates at your fingertips within the Term Calendar section.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest news and events via the Noticeboard.
If your school uses the SchoolMoney system to manage their parent payments online, you will be able to:
• Make payments for dinners, trips, clubs, etc.
• Top up your club and dinner credit balance.
• Manage parental permissions for trips and more.
• Purchase shop items.
• Select meal options for your children's dinners.
• View transaction, booking, and meal selection history.
To use the Teachers2Parents App your child's school will need to be using the Teachers2Parents and/or SchoolMoney system and have your phone number stored within one of these services; this is controlled solely by the school. Please contact the school for further information.
Dinner balances, Shop items, payments, Noticeboard updates, term dates, and the contents of messages are managed by the school - issues or queries surrounding these should be directed to the school.
Some functionality within the app is dependent on the school and the subscriptions they have purchased for the SchoolMoney or Teachers2Parents system.

Ratings and Reviews
Needs Apple Pay consistently!
The app is good in itself, whilst a bit clunky in some areas. The main frustration is payments!! Sometimes Apple Pay is there (very infrequently) and most times it’s not!! Why it isn’t consistent - who knows?!
If Apple Pay is not present the app has recently started asking for additional details when you enter card details, such as email… which you then have to type in. Surely this could be pre populated from the account? If Apple Pay can’t be consistent, surely a lodged card would be a good solution!? The necessity to repeatedly enter card details makes the UX very poor.
The type of parents that use this app are busy, needing to book breakfast clubs etc. Whilst the app is set up for some basic functions it could do a lot better to assist.
A bit disappointed - particularly so after having got out of bed to grab a card to book breakfast club, only to find Apple Pay has miraculously appeared this time! Imagine my shock! This must be the 3rd time it has been available this year 🤷🏼♀️
Helpful but needs improvement
A great idea in theory but has a few kinks that need straightening out! I haven’t been receiving some of the messages and as there are now no text alerts I have missed out on some important info, further to this I don’t always get notifications or when I do I have a constant red icon on the app indicating that I have a new message - which I don’t and nothing seems to clear it.
I’ve tried updating, deleting and downloading again, scrolling up/down, tapping the message, turning the phone on and off yet nothing works so I constantly have to check my phone to see if there is in fact a message.
If these bits could be sorted it’d be so much easier to use.
Not impressed.
Haven’t used this app for long, and if I’m honest, I don’t like the concept. I preferred the old system of receiving a text from a dedicated school number. I don’t want to have to install an app for every business I wish to interact with.
So far as flaws are concerned, the biggest is that I am still receiving the texts. 🙄 I assume that this is due to the app failing to recognising that a mobile number that’s been recorded with the prefix ‘0’ and one that’s been recorded with the prefix ‘+44’ are one and the same. (I registered my number on the app as +447... I assume the school has registered it as 07...
The other is that the app doesn’t seem to send notifications to my phone when there’s a new message, which is just useless.
So basically, by introducing an app, you’ve just made what was a very good system into an annoying one, that doesn’t work and takes up space on my phone. As a governor, I get a very big say in what systems we as a school use - our parents are not currently getting the quality they deserve. My advice to you is to return to the single phone line system, until you have an app that works flawlessly, before you start losing customers.
