SwannView Link: Live Swann NVR/DVR viewing on your iPhone
SwannView Link supports the following features:
Configure many settings from your handset or tablet
Multi-channel viewing with up to 16 cameras on screen at the same time (16ch view works best on tablets)
Play back stored recordings from your DVR or NVR on your handset or tablet (requires high upload speed internet)
Capture video from your camera live view to your Phone to play back later
Capture single and multi still images and save these to your Phone's picture library
Control PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras remotely
Note: Some features may be degraded or not work on older DVRs or iOS hardware. Current model handsets and tablets are recommended for high resolution playback and live viewing of more than 8 cameras at once.

Very poor
The principle behind this app is OK, although it would be nice if it had a fast forward function so you could quickly scan through time. The main trouble is that it’s so unreliable as to render it almost unusable at times. Today it’s working 5% of my attempts or so, then stopping randomly. It’s totally maddening. The communication is very patchy, I believe it stores data on the box rather than in a cloud somewhere and maybe it has trouble communicating across the internet between the app on my phone and the box, but for whatever reason it very bad. If anyone comes up with an alternative I’d love to hear about it.

Playback issues
Absolutely useless this app is playback is a nightmare on this app every time you try look a footage up it is impossible to view it unless you sit for almost an hour and finally see the footage as there you cannot fast forward it it brings you back to the hour if you try to do so for example if the footage you needs starts at 5.45pm it will start you from 5.00pm and you have to wait 45 mins because there’s no fast forward and if you try skipping to as close as 5.45 it bounces back to the very start off 5.00pm , and as for normal streaming to check on things no matter how good your internet is which I’ve tried numerous amounts off different WiFi spots it’s never steady it’s always stopping then when its catches itself it shoots off like it’s being fast forwarding so in actual fact you can’t see nothing it’s complete waste off time iv had this app for around 1year and a half and iv been disappointed from day one I always jump back on this amp to see if there’s been any improvements and nothing after spending daft amounts off money on the Swann system it’s a shame I wasted it , when’s my systems breaks I’ll 100% never buy another Swann system as the only reason I brought it was too use the app , very disappointing and looking on the internet I dont seem to be the only person with the same issues
When on earth is this app going to work efficiently
Please can you help. I have had this app installed for around 4 years. I have had no end of issues with it. I really cannot understand why you cannot fix the ongoing problems. Once again I cannot access playback remotely. This was an issue some time ago, which was addressed and fixed. However I am now struggling with the same issue. I cannot access playback at home on WiFi or 4g or when I am away from home. Surely the whole point is to be able to access the system remotely so that you can keep an eye on things at home! When will this issue be sorted out. I am of mind to rip the whole lot out and buy a different system. This really isn’t fit for purpose and I have lost patience and seem to have wasted a huge amount of money. It really is exasperating, and totally pointless. Why can the issues not be addressed. Don’t sell a system that doesn’t work. It’s shocking.
