I’ve been a user of the previous app and using the chargers from last November. Despite some minor issues with some charging connection, I was frankly very happy with the old app. Geolocation was spot on, it would find me and zoom in to the closest charger , payment and car details stored and easily retrieved, record of payments with detail of consumption all there without issues.

The very advertised new app is unfortunately a shadow of the old one, geo location is problematic as it stays very zoomed out and one has to manually zoom in to find where they stand, no payment details can be stored, no charging sessions recorded. An email arrived to tell me what I was charged, no break down nothing. Logging in was also a saga as it doesn’t appear that the old data base is connected to the new one- therefore a new account must be opened.

On the positive side, my first charge with the new app today was very much uneventful, although adding payment details every time is a draw back. Accepting now AMEX also counts as a plus for me.

Looking forward to the update as I would love to remain a dedicated customer due to their fair tariffs and reliability .

Worst app and tech implementation of any car charging provider I’ve ever seen, and they managed to make it even worse by replacing a flaky app with a completely unusable one. Inability to store payment details and having to enter card details afresh each time is a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME, not least because it take you to a third party (Stripe) landing page and then requires banking app authorisation every single time you try and use it … and when anything fails with the software or the charges (which it frequently does) you have to go through the WHOLE PROCESS AGAIN. And AGAIN and AGAIN. (And that’s after you’ve dealt with the app’s basic inability to zoom to where you are on the map, as others have said.) London Councils who’ve allowed this incompetent, bloated building company F M Conway to take over their public street lamps in the belief they’re supporting greener transport and cleaner environments have been Fully, Mightily Conned-away. They’ve been let down and so have all the residents, businesses and others for whom this is the only available charging option. A disgrace.

The new app doesn’t work for me. I cannot add a card to pay as a guest and it won’t let me log in. I suspect it hasn’t been properly tested on multiple phones / versions. The old app was fine, the new one is v poor, unsurprising given the way it was rushed out with little warning. Customer phone support are no longer helpful, so something has changed there too.
