Squabbit - Golf Tournament App 4+

A phenomenal live scoring app!

I have just set up a big league series, consisting of between 50 and 72 players, which is running over 5 months at 5 different courses. Each tournament is both an individual stableford and a team stableford (with complicated points scoring)and all these sores roll up into the main leaderboard for an overall winner at the end of the series! This free app has handled all of this with ease! It took a bit of setting up, but worked first time at the first of these 5 tournaments held on Saturday. The title sponsor for the league was super impressed that their brand was so prominent on the live scoring dashboard we presented on two large screens in the clubhouse. Being able to toggle between the team and individual scores was a great feature, as players wanted to know quickly when they popped in at the clubhouse at halfway, even though they were getting up to the second live update messages on their phones! Players were also super impressed how easy it was to score - Just punch in the gross score and it worked out their points, their team points (including complicated scoring), their 75% handicap allocation and side competition scores like birdies on the day. Very well done guys - This is a phenomenal piece of software!

Fantastic App!

We were after an app to do a live leaderboard and stumbled across this wonderful product. I was a bit apprehensive at first, mainly because it was free, but we were all not disappointed and really impressed. It was relatively easy to set up a 2 day tournament and even did the slope adjustment, although it wasn’t mega clear as it wasn’t called ‘slope rating’ but we changed it after the first round when having a play with the settings. We even tried doing a Texas scramble with the specific teams and that worked well too! The only negative I can think of was mainly down to the lack of signal around the course, so updates were delayed, also, when making a few changes, they didn’t always sync, but again, this could be down to the connection or me, user error. It made the admin of scoring so much easier which is a real help when you have multiple cards to check. Overall, I think that is an amazing app and we will be using it for every society, weekend away or just a friends match. Keep up the amazing work! 👌🏻

Squabbit on GGCCTour

Tried this free app for our tour to Westin La Quinta after having used GolfGameBook previously. Found the app very intuitive & simple to set up. You can tell it’s been set up by a golfer for golfers.
Lots of formats & courses to chose from. Really easy also to adjust settings even after things are set up. We love the Ryder Cup format & use it all the time for our group of 12.
In terms of matchplay the visuals aren’t as punchy as GGB which could be easily sorted I’m sure to make it feel more like you see on the Ryder Cup TV coverage. Also our matchplay scores seemed to adjust even after the matches were won/concluded which was strange, however this may have been due to us having to start scoring on the 10th hole due to the course set up selected.
Overall really pleased with our initial use of the app & looking forward to trying it out in our other team events throughout the year.
