⋆Solitaire: Classic Card Games 17+

Love it!

Brainiums Solitaire has lovely clear cards, so I can see them easily. The advertisements are not too frequent, and don’t seem quite as inane as so many others.
I know that there has to be a commercial aspect to the ‘free games’ but I really do detest some of the advert’s….. especially ones showing families freezing in the cold, or being close to drowning etc….. of course they are only a game …… but there are real people out there who are suffering in appalling conditions, and I find it heartless that someone feels that it is ok to use their anguish for ‘entertainment’ and profit.
Please keep this game as perfect as it is…. It’s a joy and gives me many hours of pleasure. Thank you.

Hate the hints feature

I’ve been playing this game religiously for years, like this specific one, and one thing I’ve really grown to hate is the hints feature. It does not even help you at all forcing you to end the game and start a new one ruining your streak. Even after you choose to quit and start a new game I think it should AT LEAST show you how you could have won it especially if you’re like me and you spend days trying to figure it out -_-
Some games are randomly so unnecessarily hard that I spend days and days trying to win them, which makes me hate the entire game even more. And then when start losing hope and I try to get a hint and it just shows me a really stupid move like moving one red 8 of spades from a black 9 to another open black 9... like WHAT kind of hint is that?! I wish I could screen record and add it to this review!
Anyway, I’ve had this game for years but it’s time to let it go. I love the theme feature which is really the main reason why I’ve had the game for so long because I love looking at a pink deck but it’s really the random hard “levels” (you don’t get to chose whether it’s hard or easy) and the stupid hints that have completely put me off.
I really hope the programmers do something about the hints or at least add a feature where we can pick how hard we want the game to be and have streaks for each level so they’re not easily ruined by one hard game.
Time to find a new solitaire game.

Hi justlovetori, sorry for any frustration the Hint feature has caused. We are working to make it more intelligent in a future update. In the meantime, when you have reached a point where no moves are available, we recommend using the 'Replay' feature listed under the Game tab in the Menu. We recommend replaying the game to try out different moves, only about 10% of Solitaire games are unwinnable, (but some can be exceptionally challenging.) Best no frills version

I downloaded a bunch of these apps when I felt the urge to play the classic card game again. This one is the best, with the cleanest design and customisation options, nice animations and unobtrusive menus.
People complain about the ads, but this is something to be endured in any free version, and in so many of the others they constantly pop up in gaudy, terribly designed banners which completely spoil the quiet, relaxing look of the green baize and suits. Here they only appear between games - and if like me you’ve usually lost, it can actually be quite therapeutic to hit the ‘x’ and zap the ad as quickly as possible!
