SOLARMAN Smart 4+

My guess is the app isn’t responsible for the slow updates, but it’s annoying that ‘Realtime’ is anything but. I understand when it says last updated c minutes ago but pulling down should absolutely refresh not just the app but should trigger the installation to send the latest figures.
Again, probably not a fault of the app but it’s annoying to see small amounts (sometimes as much as 400W being fed back to the grid when the battery should be taking all the generated power along with the house. Likewise, it sometimes utilises grid power (small amount) when it’s clearly within the capacity/capability of the battery and panels to satisfy the power demand of the house.
Other than this I really like the app although it doesn’t give me any control over the plant itself. I’m thinking of things like adjusting the time for which the batteries charge overnight on cheap rate electricity.

I’ve been using this app for just over a year and generally found it to work quite well. Sometimes I do have missing data but that’s probably because the inverter is close to the range limit of my WiFi mesh.
There are however a couple of issues that I cannot understand. Firstly I noticed that the Purchasing power statistic disappeared from the graph for about 30 days. It stopped reporting from 1AM one morning and restarted at 2:35AM two days ago.
Secondly there is an issue with the Remote Control feature. I think that was a new feature introduced last year but it has disappeared from the device tab in the last few days.

It’s a sunny day, the PV panels show 1.64kW providing to Battery 1.55kW, with home consuming 0.13kW, so why the Grid providing 0.04kW, why? This shouldn’t happen - I don’t want to be drawing from the grid when the sun is shining.

In the space of 7 seconds the inverter display showed a momentary change to be sending 0.02kW TO the grid , then it switched back to taking 0.04kW FROM the grid. What is going on? I need the grid to be zero when the PV panels are providing more than the home load.

I checked the inverter settings 2) if PV generation > load, surplus energy goes to battery.

Why then is energy being imported from the grid??

This latest App is not as good as the original App I had up to a few months ago - it was accurate, reliable and the charts easy to understand with more detailed data provided. It was easier to drill down thru the menus to get deeper data. This last App provides less and is muddled - I just don’t understand the production&consumption donut charts. The weather for my location is wrong, even after I corrected it two days ago.

This ‘smart’ App is for children. Give me the earlier version for intelligent adults who want data.

How can I uninstall this App and go back to the earlier, far superior one? Choice would be nice
