Slinger | Hospitality Jobs 4+

I’ve been using Slinger on and off for two years now, so I’ve seen both versions of the app. All in all, it’s come a long way and made many changes for the better, including the ability to get paid within 10 days and to be able to rate the site that hires you, so credit where credit due. Also the rebrand makes it so look much better, and the app itself is more user-friendly (but with a few glitches that need to be worked on). Main downside is that there’s nowhere near as many jobs in summer 2024 on there as there was back in 2022, but hopefully that will improve soon too.

Firstly we really want to thank you fore such a detailed review. Although we can see a series of frustrations, you’ve really helped us understand where we should be shifting our focus with the new product developments in the app. We really appreciate your review and want to be held accountable by our community so we can improve. Let us get back to you on some of the improvements that have been made so far, as well as the status of the issues in your feedback:

1) We realised this was an issue and have been adding more restrictions on who gets approved. Year to date, only 16% percent of Slingers have been approved onto the platform

2) We still have lots of shifts for chefs and cooks on the platform, but we are hiring for more business support where we can make sure that we meet the needs of the hospitality businesses we are serving

3) We are working on this being instant after the shift, watch this space!

4) The Living Wage requirement gets implemented on a certain date and then any shifts from then can’t be posted under that, this is still the case and we are regulated by The Living Wage Foundation

5) Last month, we implemented the feature to detail job duties! So this has been fixed.

6) We recognised that we needed more support for customers and have been working hard to hire more, including a community manager for Slingers, who can make sure you all have a good experience where you feel supported. We also now have a call line!

7) We have a new app coming soon which we hope will address these concerns

8) This is truly not the type of environments we want to subject Slingers too, and have been working on some of the things you’ve mentioned here behind the scenes. We will take the time to survey Slingers on these areas to see their sentiment on this and how much we manage to improve it.

I worked for 8 hours without get paid what agency that, don’t trust it guys it’s scam, I will pursuing them judicially

Have been working through Slinger for 2 weeks now - super easy to use. Good amount of shifts, nice businesses and they pay quickly, usually within a week
