Beyond useless
The RTA has to be one of the worst functioning public transport networks I have ever used. And I’ve travelled a lot. The services are irregular so almost never arrive at the stops on time if at all. Buses get rerouted regularly. It’s entirely inconsistent. And you don’t have enough service for the number of passengers trying to use the services. I bought a week’s travel card and have ended up having to rely on taxi and Uber to get anywhere due to the poor RTA service.
The only redeeming factor is that the service is cheap. Perhaps try increasing the cost and run more services and in a timely fashion.
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
Downloaded this app for my upcoming trip to New Orleans. Coming from the UK I wanted to have everything working before I arrived. Opened the app on installation and entered my phone number to “join”….. clicked next and nothing…. Clicked next again…. Nothing…. Clicked next a few more times and now it tells me too many requests were made to my number and I have to wait 24hrs before joining again. UTTER UTTER GARBAGE!!! Don’t waste your time.
If I could leave no stars or minus stars I would!!!
Unreliable info
We had a great run from French Market to The New Orleans Museum of Art. Picked up a car back in the afternoon from the museum and got off to change at Harrah’s Casino. Waited for next car to French Market but none came, despite the app info stating one every few minutes. We waited for 30 minutes with no shade and finally walked home. Not impressed.
