After downloading the app like a mug I paid £8.99 to remove the ads
I scanned the item n it scanner it right away good huh but that's it it didn't find or do anything too help me find the app I needed..Sorry too have too say this but it a waste of money and not worth the space on my phone it's total crap!! Oh I just some of the other rewiews n 1 said it's £4.99 too remove the Ads I just paid £8.98 too remove them it's bloody disgusting they sure saw me coming I must have MUG written across my forehead 👎🏼

I downloaded this because I had one barcode I want to scan and just wanted something free and simple. Once I’d downloaded this I opened it and a message flashed up about subscriptions and it instantly took my thumb print (that’s how I hold my phone a lot of the time) so it changed to a message saying thank you before I had even read the first one (the message was visible for less than a second). I scanned my barcode and it couldn’t find a result. I then tried to find subscriptions so I could make sure I wasn’t going to be charged - I couldn’t find them anywhere in the app apart from one thing saying I was on a 5 day free trial. There was no option to end this trial so I figured I’d just delete the app and that would do the trick. It didn’t I’ve just been charger £4.95 for a week long premium subscription to an app and no longer have.

How to unsubscribe:
If you want to check or cancel your subscription you should go to the iTunes Store and click on your account at the bottom of the page. Under subscriptions it will come up and you have the option to cancel.

It’s a QR reader. It works. However, I really dislike the underhand attempt to get you to sign up for a subscription (£3.99 per month). The subscription sign up screen is clearly designed to get you to click “accept” and there is very low prominence given to how to move past this (you need to click the microscopic light grey X to close the box, top right hand corner). It’s an example of underhand sales tactics, a lot of people fall for this - I work for a bank and I see daily the transaction disputes from customers (victims) who inadvertently chose the wrong option. Don’t fall for it. The companies who operate like this need to be giving equal prominence to how to access the free version as they do to subscription sign up. For this reason, I give them a 1 star. Poor behaviour from an App developer - in future, this type of activity will get regulated and you will get told to stop doing this. In the meantime, it is sharp practice. Do the right thing.
