PowerDirector - Video Editor 4+

I’ve loved using Power Director for ages but recently it keeps freezing n loosing work .. today it lost 5 unfinished video projects n more n I found them in “produced videos” but u can only play them u cannot get bk into them to edit or finish them copy them or anything.. thinking it’s time for a new app at this price!!
The last 3 months have been hell, it crashes and freezes n won’t let me save anything it just stops after getting to like 27%
3 months I’ve tried putting a video out it mucks up my work in to different orders n I’ve spent 3 months correcting all the crap before I could carry on but what’s the point if I can’t save it to get it out on my channel which is dying a death coz I’ve not been able to put a video out there in 3 months
Please do something! Heeeeelllp!!

For initial troublehsooting, please follows 1. Make sure to have enough RAM/cache and memory on your device. 2. May lower the source video's resolution, bit rate, or fps to reduce the system loading for editing and exporting. 3. May edit the project in smaller segments, export them separately, then combine them afterward. I bought this because my first effort of joining up film clips went so well & the quality was as original. But there are options and basic admin tasks that need addressing. For example, allowing each film to be given a name when saving at the time of saving. I wanted to save different versions but there was no way to rename each save option. Nor at the end could you save to different folders. Nor any idea of the different file sizes before or after saving (I had to use an exif app for info). Nor is there any advanced choice of bitrate. It seems caught between an amateur let's make a film with lots of effects and a semi-professional output. My ancient desktop Nero Vision or even Adobe premier light version 11 were more advanced many years ago. Another complaint is that you can't edit offline & save in high quality even though I've a year's subscription. Not everywhere I go has good online connections & I prefer to concentrate the mobile's battery resources for the app. All that being said, with these elementary improvements its star rating would go up.

As a workaround, you can rename the project name for the concern of file name before you produce videos in different versions.

If you have more professional editing needs for videos, it is recommended you can try on free PowerDirector 365 Essential.

After reading numerous reviews I took a chance and paid for 3 month subscription.
I have not been able to use this app at all.
Video stock doesn’t download, my personal videos won’t download. After re installing the app 5 times with no improvement I’ve given up. Finding support or emailing them is difficult, you have to register before you can email them, try contacting them via the feedback form in the app and it freezes.
Not good enough, cancelled subscription and lost £10, thankfully it wasn’t more expensive!! Do not use.
