Pioneer Smart Sync 4+

I’ve been using v2.9 of this app for 5 weeks after purchasing the shh-10bt head unit and based on v2.9 I would have given a5 star score, the smart sync Home Screen allowed me to clearly see my vehicle’s speed, altitude, the time clock, and the current music source selected ( radio, Bluetooth etc) However v3.0 has been released and it has removed the smart sync Home Screen completely, I no longer have the visual of the clock or my vehicle speed. It simply shows just the music source and track playing.
I have reported the loss of features to pioneer in car equipment support line in the uk who are attempting to recreate the issue, unfortunately they’re working from home and do not have access to the in car stereo units to confirm. I am extremely disappointed that pioneer have reduced the functionality and removed such useful and important features.
Hopefully they will identify their mistake put it back quickly.

I have read a lot of negative reviews about this app, but it works brilliantly for me. Connection to the head unit works every time I turn on the car ignition (iPhone 11). There is a host of features for customising the sound set up including separate crossovers for front and rear speakers (very handy if you have component speakers with tweeters and mid woofers) and a crossover for a subwoofer. I’ve been able to set up the soundstage just as I like it. The home screen is nice with a customisable wallpaper and a speedometer and clock and information on the source that is playing. Overall I think this is a brilliant app with a host of features that makes a budget friendly head unit have customisable features that you would only normally find on much more expensive units.

Ok so i bought this for the whole smart driving feature and i thought the app was a nice touch as i have an 06 plate car but the app will not connect to my phone and refuses to use apple music IF it connects, some mornings i can be trying for 20-25 minutes before giving up and just using the bluetooth feature instead of the app without my sub🙄 The app worked for the first 3 days but was awkward with apple music, i now have to use the bluetooth setting as the application just doesn’t connect to my stereo.. I can’t change the settings of my Sub and balance so some songs sound awfullll as all of the settings are within the app and without it you cannot make changes on the actual stereo? I paid £109 when i could’ve just bought a basic bluetooth stereo for less as your app just does not work 🙄🙄 sort it out please !!
