Picturehouses 4+

Deserves more stars but is held back by irritating booking process online.
When I eventually find the Arts, log on, buy my tickets - all v easy - I have to pay, here is where it becomes irritating. Every time I do so I have to fill my address, numbers, country etc. I get a little pleasure from spinning the country options and settling on a roulette-decided Ecuador and Cameroon ( my random countries of residence today). Buy anything elsewhere and my details are remembered. The cynic in me suggests that no one really care about my name, address etc. just as long as the money bit is correct.

What to say about the app? Well on the positive side it is no worse than the website. Unfortunately, the website is a complete car crash. I have had to make an exceptional effort to become a member. Picturehouse for some reason make it impossible to upgrade from free to paying membership on the app or online. You have to ring and get them to cancel the free account. Except even when they do that remnants of the old account stop you doing useful things like buying tickets. I had to go into a Picturehouse to get it sorted but I still don’t really have a fully functioning website or app. And I am not alone as the next person in the queue at Picturehouse had the same issue. They really need a different developer to the one they are using to come in and sort out this mess.

This app does what it needs to, but not in any slick or intuitive way. No storage of credit card details, nor access to details stored on my phone when booking. It doesn’t event fill in my contact details or email address, even though these are stored in my membership details. It keeps offering you the option of using a free member ticket, even after they’ve all been used. And the reduced price member ticket is at the bottom of the list of options - should be at the top for members. The purchase history is also incomplete. I could go on, but I’m bored now.
