Description
An online interpreter is tricked into reading an ancient book that summons a demon into her home. Night Book is an interactive occult thriller from the studios behind The Complex, Five Dates and Maid of Sker.
Loralyn works the night shift remotely from her home, live interpreting video calls from English to French and back again. Currently pregnant, with a husband working far away and caring for her mentally ill father, she is desperately trying to keep her family together and safe – but who is she prepared to sacrifice to survive? The fiancé, the baby, her father or herself?

Inadvertently hilarious
If you’re looking for scares, you won’t find them here. If you’re looking for the bloke who used to be Jim Carver in The Bill doing some of the worst found footage style acting you will ever see, you’ve hit the jackpot. Seriously, what were they thinking with this one? There is no story. None of the characters do anything that makes any sense. The ‘decisions’ you make are few and pointless because most of the time you have no clue as to why you’re making them. This is a game you are supposed to replay, in order to collect the 15 different endings. But the problem is that it’s such a banal slog, and very little changes for the most part. I’ve seen 4 endings and I am well and truly done with this game now. Buy it when it’s on sale out of morbid fascination because trust me, there’s no other reason to play this.
