This app really unlocks the true power of the Formation speakers. I have Formation products in nearly every room (inc Flex, Bar, Wedge and Audio) and having the ability to stream high res in one simple app is a game changer. Previously I’ve been pretty reliant on Apple Music and Airplay but switching to High Res really makes these speakers sing. A long time coming but worth the wait. Can’t wait for more updates in the future!

When you first open this app it suggests that it is ready and able to perform Bluetooth pairing. So you follow the instructions and it fails. In fact you have to pair them in the conventional manner first and then pair them again with the app. Nowhere does it mention this.
So having worked this out I added my devices and started listening. I set the quick action option to voice assistant and that worked. Then I switched it back to pass through mode and that didn’t. It’s stuck on voice assistant now regardless of what I do. The app also has the annoying habit of opening automatically every time I turn the phones on. Presumptuous to say the least and no way to disable that I can find. I haven’t contacted support because I know they will tell me to factory reset the device. That may work (for a time). But really for phones costing this much the app quality should be much higher. Come on B&W. Time to up your game.

Bought a B&W PX7S2. Dealer had said the app would additional capabilities. Link it to my streaming provider. Had checked that they could access Qobuz. Yes. Paired with iphone 14 - all was good.

As required you have set up a account to acess the app That's when problems began. Until you get the confirmation email you cant use the app.

The "Contact us"page has no software help - they only do hardware, or online sales etc. If the added functionality was only to be accessed via this app, then this is integral to the product.

I might as welluse Sennheiser or Sony, because if key benefits such as streaming cannot be done, then this app is useless.

Most annoying, if the app (software) is integral there is no support - you cannot ask any one at B&W for getting the verification is the ONLY way to access the account.

My ONLY advice is that first you set up the account, GET the verification, and then you can use this app.
I will keep trying and if the account verification email (yes I have checked spam folder) does not arrive - then i cant access the app and all the settings are via the app.

Then hardware works but the software, incl software updates I will return the product because if the additional benefits offered through the app is inaccessible, I might as change to another the app is accessible because whoever does the set up is not on the ball Thought B&W was better than this in supporting their customers.
