Monolith (2024‪)‬ 12+

Have just come across this new game and was so excited as I loved Tunguska, I’ve been waiting patiently for a new point and click to come to the App Store and this ticks all the boxes, it’s like Tunguska meets Shardlight and I’m loving every minute so far. I will add more to my review as I go but so far I would highly recommend this game to anyone who likes a good puzzle adventure with an intriguing storyline. Thank you Animation Arts. 😃

Edit: just finished and it was fabulous the puzzles alone were so original and fun and fitted beautifully into the story, the graphics amazing and the narration was pitch perfect, it reminded me of beneath a steel sky, my only gripe was the cliched ending I’d worked out quite quickly. No doubt aiming for the family friendly audience but just not my cup of tea, other than that it was pure perfection in every way, a console game for a tiny price! Thank you so much, I loved it!

Have to say I’m enjoying the game, I’ve not really played a game like this before, so a lot of trial and error, have the game on my iPhone and iPad find I like it playing on the iPad that little better as obviously a bigger screen, work a lot of hours so I can only play it when I have a little time to spare but enjoying it definitely. Great graphics and run’s really smooth, nice one developers 😊

I haven’t given five stars as controls are finicky on a 6.1 inch screen and that is a bit of a design error as collision’s do not need to be that tiny on an iPhone game! You have to repeat what you are trying to do and that detracts from the gameplay and immersion in the game! Apart from that it’s a pretty good point and click sci fi adventure! Warning!! Very talky game, and dialogue is disappointingly drawn out, and often unnecessary. Especially, if you click on something accidentally (happens a lot), and have to hear it yet again! Still enjoyable enough and extra stars for originality of puzzles! 😊
