Description

Looking to link and automate your focus with your calendar? Mind the Focus does that for you, so you don’t have to worry about it!

Mind the Focus is a productivity app that synchronizes with your calendar, prompting you just at the right time to activate the desired focus for your next event. To achieve your goals, the app allows you to:

• Ignore calendars that are not relevant to you
• Mute events that you do not require a focus for
• Customize the time at which a focus is (de)activated before and after your events

With Mind the Focus, you will never find yourself at an event without the right focus! Start focusing on what matters to you now!

What’s New

Version 3.4.1

Mind the Focus now supports focus filters and allows you to choose the focus for individual events.

This update also improves the app and fixes some bugs:
• The list of events is now divided into past, current and future events to improve clarity
• Notifications for declined events are no longer delivered
• Lead-up notifications are no longer sent multiple times
• Notifications for recurring events are no longer continuously re-delivered when changes are made to the calendar
• Follow-up notifications are now correctly removed from Notification Center
• Newly added calendars are no longer muted on macOS, as this feature does not currently work reliably there

Nice idea but

Nice idea and maybe I didn’t read the description properly but I don’t see the point of this app it it can’t set the focus automatically. I understand that it maybe a restriction on apples part.

Developer Response ,

I am sorry to hear that your are disappointed with the app! As you already suggested, automating the focus on iOS is currently not possible due to restrictions on Apple's side. Hence, Mind the Focus uses notifications to partly automate the process of activating a focus.

Just what I needed

For years, I’ve been struggling to work out a way to activate do not disturb based on specific kinds of calendar events. It’s annoying that there’s no native way to do this. This app is great using Shortcuts to do this very task. Recommended!

Developer Response ,

Thank you for using Mind the Focus, it is great to see that you find the app useful, mdlondon!

Can’t get it to work

Literally doesn’t seem to achieve when it says it does. I wish there was a trial of this app so users could establish before losing their money
