Logos: Deep Bible Study 4+

I have used this app for years now and I can say I really enjoy all the functionality of the app. You can split different versions and have commentaries in a side window and many more invaluable bible study tools. I found the revised common lectionary daily readings where free and what’s more the links open up to my favourite bible translation on the side window which is set with the commentaries as well. Note taking is invaluable again and you can choose the icon and what it links to as well, so if you link your comment to a verse rather than a version your comment will be available on any translation and resource. Now there is one niggle as my eyes are getting dim that I have not sorted, although there may be an answer, that is notes when writing them, the text is too small for me and I would like to write the notes with an enlarged font, I can set the fonts in the main reading window as big as I like but not the notes on an iPad and that is where I do the main bulk of my reading, note taking and reflecting before going to my forest hut to pray and reflect. Thank you logos mammoth effort.

I have this app in daily use: I use it extensively to read books from my Logos Library - it's much more convenient to read a book sitting in an arm chair in the presence of my family rather than stuck in my study reading from of my desktop! I also use the app as a mobile source of different Bible versions with ready access to basic texts such as the ESV Study Bible, Matthew Henry, a Systematic Theology and a Bible Dictionary.

It is now, after just a few months of use, to imagine life without it!

I have yet to master searches in the Library - I often get what I'm not looking for....but I expect that skill will be honed in time!

Later..... Still finding LOGOS great to have and use on my iPad. So convenient to have my Bible translations and commentaries for the Bible book I am studying to hand whenever needed!

November 2018, after update. What has happened to LOGOS on my iPad? Highlighting is now quite impractical. Text selection is a nightmare. The pick lists have lost their clarity and ease of use.

Writing a note now demands I use the iPad in portrait orientation whereas I always work in landscape. Not good.

Please give us back the old functionality..... and the desktop version is taking some getting used to also after upgrading to version 8.

Not at all happy. What customer research was carried out first before embarking on this wholesale change?

I am all in with Logos. My first Bible software was WordSearch but when I moved to Mac, I couldn't use it anymore. Logos 6 was when I made the leap and there have been no regrets. The interface is amazing, clean, and easy. The expansion options are good value and the customer support is superb.

There is way more power in Logos 9 than most can use. As a Bible student and regular preacher, I love how easy it is to setup layouts and include bibliography, clippings, and notes. That makes a research paper so much simpler to keep track of resources used. Create a layout card on the homepage and picking up where a study ended is as easy as a click of the mouse.

I'm not sure what Logos can add to this software but every update seems to add more features. Whatever you need from Bible software, Logos will deliver and more besides.
