Lirer: Learn Japanese 4+

Really nice interface with sentences And mnemonics for each word which are helpful and cute. Super nice animations for each word as well. The review system also seems to encourage you to add more words to the review which has really helped me. Have tried tonnes of apps for Japanese but this and Bunpo seem like the win for me ! Thank you Lirer !

I have been using bunpo for my initial learning for a couple of days so far and it helps so much! Is really useful but I feel like there aren’t enough resources or questions. For example: multiple choices or written questions to practice the hiragana that I had learnt. That was, until I can across Lirer, which is made by the same company and has helped Instantly! I'm on my second lesson and immediately now know my hiragana really well such as あ,ま, さand か. I can now read this to say a, ki, sa and ka. To be honest I am struggling with the ‘k’ Column, but Lirer is already helping! I would definitely recommend!

Multiple times it expects an answer that is wrong, and sometimes it won’t give you the characters in a question so you can’t get past it and therefore cannot complete that line of lessons. Not great for a paid app. I’ve submitted the bug reports but not sure if these are being addressed.

In general I also don’t like:

-the fact the phone vibrates when you type kana, this makes no sense at all and drains unnecessary phone battery for no improvement on user experience
-the fact that answers auto-submit without letting you click on a submit button.
-the fact that you have to unlock lessons in a row, even though they have no sequential relation to each other. The choice should be given to the user to decide their preference
-no control over what goes into SRS queue

I do like:

-the layout of lessons
-the fact it even has SRS functionality
-the look of the app
-the fact it has a feedback mechanism

Please fix the bugs!!
