Description

Skill and creativity conquer all in Legends of Runeterra, a strategy card game featuring iconic champions and allies from the League of Legends universe.

A LEAGUE OF LEGENDS™ ROGUELITE ADVENTURE
Runeterra calls! Choose your champion and pick your path to power: a single-player roguelite romp through the world of League of Legends and Arcane, or a ranked card battler where strategy reigns supreme. Unlock and level up dozens of characters in a hand-crafted love letter to fans of hero collectors and card games alike.

THE STORY SO FAR
From the back alleys of Zaun to celestial Mt. Targon, forces small and large threaten to forever shift the balance of power—if not unravel the world itself! Star-forging dragon Aurelion Sol plots his cataclysmic revenge, while Lissandra, an even greater menace, lurks in the frozen north.

Only champions of Runeterra can follow the path that has been set—alone or as one—with YOU at the helm.

CHOOSE YOUR CHAMPION
Play as Jinx, Warwick, Caitlyn, Vi, Ambessa, or any of a growing cast of 65+ champions. The many legends of League are yours to collect, evolve, and master as you traverse the map of Runeterra.

Each champion brings unique, awe-inspiring powers and loyal followers to the fray. Whether you freeze your opponents where they stand (Ashe), plant fungal surprises for sneaky victories (Teemo), build an elaborate combo engine for a spectacular finish (Heimerdinger), no two champions play the same.

ADAPT & EVOLVE
Every run is a canvas for your creativity, offering new cards, powers, and relics to augment your strategy and topple menacing foes. But choose wisely! Challenges increase in difficulty over the course of a run, and from one World Adventure to the next.

Each champion can be upgraded with Star Powers—permanent augments you can unlock between runs. Completing a champion’s Constellation yields immense power—and all new strategies—for you to command.

TOPPLE MIGHTY FOES
Test your mettle against iconic villains in World Adventures and Weekly Nightmares that set the stage for your spectacular displays of strategy and skill.

Beating the odds against the likes of Lissandra and Aurelion Sol will take experimentation, ingenuity, and maybe a touch of luck. Of course, the tougher the opponent, the sweeter the victory—and the richer the rewards!

UNCOVER NEW LEGENDS
Delve into the deep lore and rich, ever-expanding universe treasured by players of League of Legends and fans of the Emmy-winning series Arcane. With exclusive characters, story-driven adventures, breathtaking card art, and a staggering cast of new and familiar faces, there’s no better way to experience the breadth and depth of Runeterra.

The best in its genre, with a great progression system! 5/5

I don’t normal review games, but I feel this game deserves its praises it’s gameplay and progression really is the best on its genre, trimming away the tedious aspects of other similar games and presenting the player with a genuine free to play friendly progression system. Simply win games to earn points and packs and cards come your way. No caps, no timers play and progress. There is always the option of purchasing card packs like there should be with a card collecting game but there is just as much free progression to make it worth playing.

I will be glad to buy packs to give back to the developers as they have struck the perfect balance. Please keep this free progression system in place the way it is and I’ll gladly purchase the premium packs to support you guys and so will manny others.

Great job developers!

Addictive and enjoyable

I’ve have been playing this game since it came out and am still loving it to this day. I have not been a fan of card based games in the past having tried others like hearthstone However, I decided to this ago due to the fact it is based of LOL and quickly became addicted. It’s is updated frequently so it often feels fresh and supports many play styles. Some cards have been abit too strong in the past however their willingness to admit things aren’t working and change accordingly really makes this game stand and and enjoyable. One thing I feel like I should add aswell is that the games isn’t pay to win at all. Cards are easy to get and doesn’t take long because you can make a competitive deck for ranked.
I don’t normally write reviews but felt like this games deserves some praise.

A toned down version of Mtg rather than a complicated version of hs

So I extensively played hearthstone and thats the game i will be mostly comparing it against.

Major difference is the extreme f2p aspect of LoR i know many people who invested no money and can build any deck and they are not playing it crazy. At the start of course that wont be the case but this is a game that definitely is in the pinnacle of generosity.( only the arena version of LoR is many not that generous in rewards but you get free entries weekly and you get 2 attempts which is great).

Riot is really promoting the competitive scene and unlike other games its integrated directly into the game and very well explained.

The only minus comes from the game concept itself, in HS you can pass the turn and essentially go grab something to eat or go to the toilet fast. While LoR at most you can leave for is 30 secs, because like in something like Magic the gathering both players constantly have the possibility to engage with each other. Overall i feel its like a tone downed version of Magic the gathering rather than a more complicated version of hearthstone.

Overall the extreme f2p and bimonthly new content makes this an easy recommendation from me
