Klondike Adventures: Farm Game 9+

I usually get fed up with these sorts of games after a short while but this one has definitely got me hooked. It’s a strategy game with a difference, with periodic timed and marathon events which adds to the enjoyment in my opinion. Like all these free games there is the option to make in-app purchases but you can play the game and progress through the chapters without the necessity to do so. That said, it is worth remembering that the developers put a lot of time and effort into these games and yes ultimately they aim to make money from them, so at the end of the day isn’t it worth a few £ or $ just to continue to play or show your appreciation. Now for the frustration, completing the challenges does take a lot of ‘energy’ so you do have to show some patience (if you don’t want to spend any money on the game) so if you want a game you can complete in 5 minutes then this may not be the game for you.
I enjoy having to think about what goods I need to produce to progress in the game and I like the competitive element that the marathon events generate but the time taken to produce energy can be a bit of a downer at times.
At the end of the day however, I enjoy it and that’s why I shall continue to play it

I have previously written a review praising this game and I would like to again emphasise what a great game it is. There are many lands to explore and regular challenges and races to keep you entertained. It is a very challenging but addictive game which I never get bored of playing.
But sadly the developers have become to greedy and the game is now to expensive to play. It is impossible to complete timed challenges without buying extra energy. The price of this energy has recently increased and the strength of the energy has decreased.
You are encouraged to gain as many gold coins as possible. In the early stages of playing this game this gold is used to purchase items, but sadly once you have purchased these items there is no longer any point in continuing to collect gold coins as there is no use for them. I have been playing this game for nearly three years and have amassed eighteen million gold coins. I keep suggesting ways we could use our coins and asking the developers to give us a way to use them, all to no avail.
I have spent a lot of money on this game over the years because I really love playing this game, but until the developers stop their money grabbing greedy ways I will not spend another penny to play it. If the game was not so expensive to play I am sure more people would play because it really is an excellent game.

I’ve been playing this religiously every day and have been thoroughly enjoying it. I’ve now got to Aery part of the map & to be honest I’m loosing the will to live. The energy restore only goes to 51 and some trees can be as much as 90 energy to chop down. So you chop half a tree down to try and work your way through the land which is densely compacted with grass and trees. Then you have to wait for your energy to restore before you can proceed. With three young children I can’t afford to be buying diamonds and energy so I just have to wait. The thing is I can’t really do much else on the rest of the game as I need clay which is hidden somewhere on that land. It’s beginning to annoy the life out of me so I will probably end up deleting it just like I did with dragonscape etc. It becomes boring waiting & waiting for the energy to restore.

Edit - the further on you get the harder it becomes to do tasks with so little energy. It takes 1 and a half minutes for I measly bar of energy. I like the idea & concept of the game but sadly it becomes frustrating. I also find it frustrating the time & the amount of processes needed to make 1 item, a cheese cake for example!! Trying to complete orders when certain items take SOOO long to make is very annoying! In the end I got bored and just deleted the game.
