It Works

If you’re patient, consistent and stick to 3 times a week, you will get to 100 push-ups. The training programme doesn’t take you to 100 as it’s a AMRAP set. After the last session. You should stand a chance of doing 100 press ups in 1 set. However, just repeat the last session bringing down the rest times until you can get there. Haven’t used the other exercise functions

Great but flawed

A great, simple app let down by the fact that the rest period between sets increases by 30 secs every session. The result is that if you work out three or four times a week, within a couple of weeks you accrues 3,4,5 minute rest periods between each set and can only get around this by manually adjusting it each time. I’ve raised it a couple of times and been assured that it’ll be addressed but it hasn’t been. This is very frustrating and spoils an otherwise excellent app.

progression too simplistic

This app is very easy to use and provides a good basic structure to improve push up performance. Starting with a test, the reps gradually increase. However I found that around the middle of week three the jumps between workouts were too big and I would fail which was a bit demotivating. I would have preferred the sets to slow the rate of increase after the early gains, which would allow progress albeit at a slower rate. Just to be clear, if you are starting at a low baseline, this week not get you to a single set of 100 push ups in six weeks
