Informant 5 Calendar 4+

UPDATED REVIEW: Pocket Informant was always the king of the apps in its class. Informant 5 has taken a little longer to get there, but it has achieved it with the latest update. Many people will have written reviews based on older updates that have not been updated. Fanatic is now part of another business that has different goals, but it must be remembered that they bought it for what Informant 5 brings to their product arsenal. It is still the definitive Calendar, Task Manager, Contact and Note app that offers a complete solution to 98% of most people’s needs on a daily basis. Add in the ETA feature, attendees for meetings, Siri integration, macOS integration, TravelAssist™️ for those of us who have international aspects of our work life ... the list is huge. It is probably the most powerful and highest use app that I have, and my team across EMEA is the same. Over 10 years of using this app and still going strong. Try it for free - you will not be disappointed but it could change your life!

I think I've gone through every calendar app on the app store in search of the one calendar app that would rule them all and at long last my search is over. Informant 5 is just about perfect for my needs frome basic events to layered tasks and note taking. I've been using informant 5 for a few months now on a month by month subscription until i was sure it was the one but I'm now ready to go the full hog and go yearly. It looks like Most of the bad reviews are from people who think they should get a free upgrade from previous versions of informant which is a bit like walking into a car dealership and demanding the new model for free because they bought a older model three years ago. Just one thing i would like to see is a option to see any comments in a event in list view under the main event description in a smaller font as all my event have a few lines of text in the comments section. I hope to see this app mature over time but for now I'm well happy and am glad that my search for a decent calendar app is over!
P.S why can't we swipe between days in focus view. I know I can move between days using the date bar across the top of the screen but it's just awkward when all other views are full screen swipes to scroll the screen!

Please please please please move the today button to the bottom of the screen or at least provide a option to select top or bottom! It's driving me mad!

Like many here, I am a very frustrated long term PI user.
PI4 worked beautifully and Informant 5 is an ABSOLUTE MESS. I have been patient and submitted a lot of feedback to the support team, but it’s now nearly a year since it was released and it just doesn’t seem to be getting better. So many things just don’t work and I really don’t think that the team are responding to the car-crash feedback and reviews that is here and on other feeds.
FWIW, if it worked correctly, I have no problem paying the new annual subscription. I have fully subscribed to the entire system, including PI sync, for years and have always found it much better than syncing with google. I have previously submitted 5* feedback here about PI4, which unfortunately is now giving up the ghost with the lastest iOS updates.
I just can not believe they haven’t ensured that data could be transferred over from PI4 without glitches. Duplicates, lost data, lost templates etc etc. Ill-considered functional changes (date picker/ templates changed to ‘triggers’/ increased number of taps required to do nearly anything) have been made and should have been abandoned long ago.
I haven’t given up on it yet and wait in hope that PI4 levels of functionality can be restored, but I’m bitterly frustrated by the lack of progress and am now actively looking for alternative apps, whereas previously I would have been evangelising this calendar. Really disappointed...
