I hope this will be as good as the old one
It isn't, yet, but I have faith.
Things which are worse:
- user list should be hidden (or hideable in portrait on iPad
- can't reorder server lists
- no icon selection.

The user list issue was fixed in the next version after your review, and you can reorder channels now. Reordering servers will be coming soon, just haven't decided how to do it in a user friendly way yet. And as for the icon selection, I wasn't sure that people actually used the different icons, I'll add that back.
If you ever have any other suggestions, hop in the support channel and let me know, I add almost everything people ask for, as long as it's not ridiculous :P
Old version was better before dev rug pulled it
I use push notifications for IRC highlights, not for the dev to advertise giveaways

New version released
Not long ago bought the previous version of the app and the dev has decided to retire it and release a new version as an entirely new app, no automatic upgrade for existing app owners regardless of how long they’ve owned it.
Pure greed.
