Idle Police Tycoon - Cops Game 12+

It’s a good game. But there can be a lot of issues, you’ll have two departments that are full of cases like 50/50 constantly but then the other 3-4 have 0 so there’s no balance in regards to how all the cases get dishes out between the departments and it’s got to the point where I have 1 employee in each of those left over departments and I don’t even bother upgrading them... it really needs having some kind of fix as it’s just a badly designed game that could be really fun!

I have the entire map at 100% and ALL the departments are open and 100% upgrades, but still the Chem lab, the detectives and another department doesn’t get ANY cases while all the cases go to other departments with NO ORANGE NOTIFICATIONS... so they aren’t overworked or too busy, they are able to handle the work but I’ve got dead weight in the other departments so at the moment they’ve all got 1 employee and I’m getting a load of money!

That’s why we insist on this tip: you must double-check which crimes are under your jurisdiction before you unlock a new department. The small icons (semaphore, mask, spray can, credit card, etc.) in departments’ descriptions will give you a final clue to know which department should manage those cases.

Find all the departments available by tapping on the blue button (lower-right corner)

If one department receives the wrong cases, it will increase the processing time, and police officers will need more time to arrest the criminals (e.g., the anti-scam department needs to investigate traffic offense). We strongly recommend building the proper department to revert this situation as soon as possible.

You will notice that something needs to be double-checked when a warning symbol appears over an officer’s head. You will also see that the progress bar is orange. If you tap in the department which is receiving the wrong criminal cases, a message will appear in the department’s description: Overwork! Processing cases too complex for this department.

When the progress bar is green or orange but without a warning symbol, that means that the case is being investigated by the proper department and it will take less time to be processed.

Once you could solve this situation by building the proper department, it will take some time until the first one could close the pending cases already wrongly assigned.

It’s nice and it can be good to kill time, I think it would hold my attention for longer if these things were added and I showed the game to a friend and they agree.
- I think you should be able to x2 or more time, I don’t see this being as issue as the game doesn’t have any kind of player interaction so speeding up time would just make the game more playable. I often log on for 5 minutes and then come back in 4 hours when I’ve earned enough currency to play for another 5 minutes, I feel like having options to speed up time, even just as a reward for watching a video, would be a really good addition.
- I feel like maybe if the employees had names and you could see how long they’d been working there, personally fire them. Idk, I miss games that did that and I feel like with this game it could be a really nice addition
- let me zoom out! If it was possible to zoom out far enough to see the whole police station functioning that would be so cool.

I know I haven’t really reviewed the game in that. But it’s definitely worth the download, in app purchases are reasonably priced and not at all essential and it’s really great if you have some time to kill. Probably best if you play it between other games, if that makes sense? Like if one of your go-to games gets boring or you’re waiting for something then this would be a good way to fill the gap.

Definitely needs more cities. However, I also wish I could specify which cases go to which department, ideally a ratio of them if multiple departments can handle them. When I progress a lot in a city, I'd often end up in a situation where 2 types police officer departments can handle the same type of case, but it always goes to the higher ranking department, which is busy with 5 other types of cases that only it can handle, while the lower ranking one is empty till the other one overflows, and then the lower one is dealing with types of cases not meant for it which compounds the problems... The game obviously doesn't try to optimise the efficiency of the departments when some of their work overlaps, which can be very annoying.
