Description
Browse the web like it should be – free of nags to accept cookies or privacy invasive tracking. It's tiny, fast, free, open, secure and without any access to your data.
“I’d recommend Hush to anyone who uses Safari”
— John Gruber, Daring Fireball
SECURE AND PRIVATE
Hush doesn't have any third party dependencies, behavioral tracking nor crash reporting – no data is collected and nothing leaves your device.
The blocking is done by Safari itself with instructions from Hush, so the app has no access to your browser habits nor does it want to. Don't take our word for it – we play with open cards and publish the source code for anyone to inspect.
SIMPLE YET POWERFUL
Using Hush is as easy as installing it and enabling it in Preferences -> Extensions. No settings, no maintenance – just thousands of rules doing the hard work for you in the background.
It works like magic – you will not notice Hush until you disable it.
MODERN, TINY AND FAST
The app is primarily a host of rules that integrates with Safari in a native lightweight way, making the blocking efficient, fast and easy on your disk space.
FREE AND OPEN
Hush is both free of charge and Open Source with a permissive MIT license. No in-app purchases, no nonsense.
AVAILABLE ON ALL DEVICES
Hush is available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Ratings and Reviews
Add a Toolbar PLEASE!
As others are saying it is no silver bullet for cookie pop-ups, but for my use it seems to be very effective. However, when you do run into cookies I find it’ll be stuck until I manually turn off the extension or leave the site. An option to add this to your toolbar would be great so you can easily turn Hush off and on when necessary. What would be even better is to permanently deactivate Hush for a specific domain in the toolbar. Next level would be: Deactivate and "report breaks website" button!
Keep up the great work and I hope you take these ideas into considerations. :)
Great little app!
I love this app, which makes browsing the web so much more peaceful, without sites asking you to agree that you’ve read all 25 pages of their privacy statement every single time you visit. It’s unobtrusive and improves Safari so much! One of the better apps I’ve downloaded. I use my phone for 95% of my internet use, as apps are improving so much to make this possible and programs like Hush are becoming more and more necessary.
Does it auto decline or auto accept?
I hate the pop ups, endlessly clicking ‘no’ on multiple tabs for the site and then all their little friends, I don’t want my data being bought and sold so try as much as possible to reduce that, but it’s a job in itself, saw a blog talk of this app and gave it a go and haven’t seen any pop ups which is great, but a nagging feeling of how it works made me re-review it’s info, nowhere does it state how it works regarding if it’s auto accepting cookies left right and centre or if it auto declines them, if it auto declines I’ll gladly reinstall it but for now it’s been deleted and all cookies have been deleted, now to wait and see if the spam emails and phone calls to start!
