The scooters themselves are fab, quick and easy to use. Charge your phone, show you parking spaces (in app), but the parking spaces are really poor. You put in a destination on your maps (Google, linked with the app) and when you arrive it won’t let you park there, despite there being other scooters parked there, meaning more minutes finding a new parking space= more money spent. Would be amazing if they added more drop off points, charged nothing for ‘pausing’ your trip within the first hour, or amended their lack of drop of points.

TLDR
Scooter are fun but App is designed to extort money!

The scooters are indeed good fun if you find one that works properly (but you only know that after unlocking and pay for!)

I had a rubbish experience where after starting a PAYG ride I had to push it back and got charged for the privilege of unlocking it and getting nowhere.

On my second attempt with a different scooter it did work and was fun to ride BUT when I came to end the ride the app conveniently would not let me and after 5mins and several restarts it finally let me.

I had to pay extra for that delay in ending the ride! I took photos and submitted an in app complaint so let’s see if there customer support is any good…!

IMHO they should cache start & stop events and sync those times with the server before charging you. Current the app is not playing fair and biased to them taking your money.

It feels like the user pays a penalty for scooters parks with variable reception because the app is poorly designed. Note that they set where the scooter parks are located so should not place them in poor reception areas if then insist of connecting to the server to end a ride.

This App is not fit for purpose IMHO.

I want to start by saying that the scooters themselves were terrible the brakes didn’t work until it would lock up the wheel and make you skid. What didn’t help this was the steering was too loose and wobbly.

There also wasn’t enough parking spaces and even when in one it’s says you aren’t in there and continues to take money off of you even though you aren’t riding the scooter. The gps system inside is extremely poor as to register that I was in the parking zone I had to go into a shop.

The app itself is buggy and at times hard to navigate with some things not being clear. Because of all of this I ended up getting charged nearly triple the amount that I initially paid for which was an hour pass.

So overall if you can stay away from this app and there scooters do so as they are scammers that take your money and don’t get back to you or help you with any of your problems along with the many other things wrong with it and the scooters themselves.
