Scary
I've made 15 tracks since November 17 (about 30 now 😎mostly D&B )when I had a few sounds similar I've turned off preloaded sounds or gone into editing patterns I've made
Breakbeat Grime Hip Hop and eventually made a reasonable sounding Drum &Bass track bought
about 3 packs,can't figure out recording havnt got the equipment just using my phone.
Luckily I have a friend who has a full studio he's suggesting plug my phone in and transfer beats spent years staring at Cuebase and such and not really learning anything now Subconsciously the things I've witnessed and heard is immensely helpful .Ive Djed since 1987 so blending patterns was a piece of #iss 🤣😂 Feel like I'm cheating and find it SCARY how easy it is .
It's 2017 if we didn't evolve we,d be all making today's music with a Full Orchestra .... Genuinely the first App since the IPhone 📱 4 that has made me do a review 10 out of 10 👍🏽
It Could Be Unbelievably Good...
Five changes/additions will make this app absolutely essential to anyone who is currently already enjoying this app.
1. You MUST include the option to change patterns and key changes when the current bar has finished and not always instantaneously. If my timing is out it sounds terrible, so why kill my buzz and not have this option?
2. We need the ability to pick and choose each instrument’s pattern wherever it is in the grid, and not just play every pattern on that same line. So if I want the drum pattern from line 1 and and a bass pattern from line 4 and a synth from 2 etc I should be able to do this.
3. I think we need just a few more instruments. The current ones are amazing, don’t get me wrong, but a sample player with the ability to slice is needed. I know there’s a separate app for this but I want it all in Groovebox.
4. I want to use non-Bluetooth midi controllers in Groovebox, not just the ones you allow. I want to go knob-twiddling with my USB Novation thingy that has lots of knobs, so that I can zone out to the fantastic sounds this app enables you to make ridiculously easily and you’re not letting me. Why? Don’t force me into buying another midi controller, please.
5. AU3 support would be nice.
If you even just did the first four id give this app a 11 out of 10. I already love the app, but it could be so much better.
BURDENED WITH GLORIOUS PURPOSE
Some can disagree and others may not but this subscriber - this audio parishioner per se - has found sweet solace in this application under many a blue moon. The format this application works to has informed, inspired, influenced, and entertained nearly every facet of their development and still now sweet slices of papyri are gleaned like pixelated scraps of jazz max in their head. A five star review every time but this one with a bittersweet add-on (that will not negate a star), perhaps as a consequence of a post-Covid landscape, the makers of this app no longer upload new sample packs which is, frankly, saddening. Not abandoned but neglected. Temporarily? How long is a piece of string? Still, life loves a challenge and so does the body electric! #sisunovationsisu
