GRIDSERVE 4+

Not a shabby offering for an EV charging app. After some initial wrinkles the app works very smoothly. It gives real time data on charging progress which is a very useful when leaving the car to go for a pit stop. You can chillax with a cuppa and a sticky bun whilst the iron horse re-charges its batteries. Data about charger status I.e are the chargers working , is very accurate which is a must for me and this app tells the driver which chargers are available with absolute accuracy. I would definitely recommend using this app. 😁👍

Used the app a few times now when stopping at a GRIDSERVE charger and never had any issues. It’s easy to use, clear and simple. Just how a charger app should be. 1 suggestion I would recommend is adding the feature of being able to monitor your charge session through the Dynamic Island / live activity feature on iPhone. That really would be a fantastic!

Stopped at GRIDSERVE at Severn View services to use the App for the first time. Took a bit of time to work out how to use the App - it is not the most straightforward but not the worst. However once again there were problems getting one of the chargers to work despite three attempts. Another customer with a Mercedes had the same issues. Moved to another charger and that worked OK but only produced about 170kWh rate despite no other chargers being used at the time. I am now getting too many failed charges with GRIDSERVE and often at less than optimum rates - the car is capable of 350kWh charging. These experiences compare badly with Applegreen, which I find trouble free and faster.
