Description

Log photos of what you eat, from your camera or photo gallery and optionally name and comment on the food.

Also:
* Swipe to log previously logged food or meals, on your watch or phone, and to mark foods as favorites.
* Swipe down to search your previously logged food.
* Save the location where you ate the food, either your current location, or if importing from the photo gallery, the location where the photo was taken. View a map showing what you ate where.
* No time to launch an app? Just snap a photo and import later. You can even automatically import a designated photo album.
* Export and import your data in a machine readable ZIP file with an excel-compatible CSV and all your photos - it is YOUR DATA, you can export it and import it whenever you want.
* We also let you export a human readable PDF.
* Create shortcuts to log your food with one click.

Premium (paid) features include:
* Creating tags and tagging items with tags that you create (e.g. "Unprocessed", "Treat", "Excellent"), and highlight photos with a colored border based on the tag;
* Viewing all the foods you've previously logged at a particular location;
* Automatically logging breakfast, (since we often eat the same thing each day for breakfast), with the ability to pause it, for example when on holiday;
* Showing your appreciation to the app developer.

Unlocking premium costs US$9.99/year.

What’s New

Version 1.5

Ideas on how to make the app better? foodphotolog@atadore.com

In 1.5:
* Bug fix: items should now sync across your devices via iCloud correctly;
* Fixed crash swiping items to add them;
* Bug fix for meal times not adjusting properly when in a different time zone.

In 1.4:
* Added ability to clear the log when viewing the log to help debug issues.
* There is now a setting to let you order meals as breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks rather than the reverse time in which they were consumed

In 1.3:
* Made the distance for grouping meals configurable: for example how far you are from a restaurant for you to be considered "there" when logging food;
* Cleaned up the Settings page;
* Improved thumbnail quality: was rendered at 100x100, but stored at 80x80 with 0.8 compression quality - now stored at 100x100 at 0.8 compression quality. Let me know what you think;
* Bug fix for meals being incorrectly assigned the wrong meal.

In 1.2:
* Fixed a crash on iOS 18 when deleting items;
* When you disable reminders they are now cancelled properly;
* Better handling of places when editing a logged food item;
* Swiping an item to add it to the log always uses the current time;
* When you add an item from the photo gallery your log is scrolled to the newly added item (it uses the time and location of the photo so it might be in the past);
* You can now swipe food items to delate them;
* You can now swipe to edit favorites;
* You can now swipe to delete tags.

In 1.1:
* "Favorites" are no longer a premium feature: you can create and log favorites without a subscription (although subscribing to premium would be nice);
* Text in images is recognized and shown as suggestions when you are entering the food name - perfect for that packaged food we all eat from time to time;
* You can set reminders to log your food, under Settings;
* You can now search your logged foods - just drag down on the home page and a search box will appear. Easily log previously logged food by swiping it, or find out exactly what was that restaurant where you had the fantastic lava bread;
* When setting the location for a logged food item, you now see all locations sorted by distance, not just nearby ones;
* When setting your automatically logged breakfast, you can choose from snacks and breakfast favorites (previously it was just breakfast), and set the time when it should be automatically logged;
* If you are subscribed the app now shows a thank you message rather than the subscription button.
