I’ve used the app for the last few years and love it but since the update when pickup location was green and drop off was red and both were changed to black the app has been awful very hard to pre book, no drivers available, app telling you taxi is 2 minutes away and you’ve to chase it up after 20 minutes. This morning I had a hospital appointment pre booked 8:50 phone no taxi and when I phoned it would then be too late to pick me up for me to reach hospital for appointment, don’t know what’s happening with this app but it’s definitely responsible for losing customers.

This app used to be easy and great to use, (although everyone knew they turned it off at times of peak demand).

The last two versions have just gone bonkers bad and make it unusable. Problems include geolocation being highly unreliable for user and driver, not being able to load and use card payment, specific time bookings where It seems you have booked but the app has instead kicked you out and now for the second,, maybe third time this year i am being asked to reregister my details (why do you keep losing, or deleting them??) which i am mot going to do this time !

In essence, this app is useless unless you are going from your own house asap and paying cash. You cant book anything more complicated than that on it. Awful and the fonacab staff know it, but the developers must be asleep. Criminally easy to fix, but no one is listening. Created by idiots to frustrate normal people. Where is your consumer focus group guys, are they dead? Read these reviews!!!!!

All 6 journies we’ve taken during our 2 day stay in Belfast have been amazing….all drivers were very chatty and telling us all about Belfast and 12 July. They all really went over and above - people pay for tours around Belfast and we got it as an added bonus to our taxi ride home!! Thanks very much - will recommend to anyone staying in Belfast
