Great app, needs a widget
It would be great to be able to see the status of the flight before and during the flight in a widget. Other than that, great app!
Try it
The “my flights” tab works well to track specific flights - once I set up the flight details set up I got push notifications with gates and updated departure times, landing time changes, etc = great!! This is exactly what I was after.
The “live radar” tab seems to show a snapshot of the location of the planes right now but is not the “dynamic” flightradar24 screen with all planes moving around. This is fine for me :) perhaps needs a “use my current location” icon so would be easier to find my location and tap the one plane needed? Anyway, tapping a plane shows more details, destination, etc
Needs improving
I have the Pro version, but it needs significant improvement. The Live Radar should be the default tab, followed by My Flights, so the app doesn’t constantly prompt users to add flights every time it’s opened. More importantly, the Live Tracking feature is far too slow—other free apps perform much faster. Also, the plane icons on the map are barely visible and need to be more prominent.
