Just started testing, so far so good

I’ve been waiting for this exact product for years! Props to Flashback team for making it happen. Have loved following the production journey, and been very excited to test out the camera and put it through its paces.

The form factor is great and feels well made, perfect for taking on nights out/ to festivals etc.

So far the app seems basic and works well. Haven’t had the issues that some others have reported. Kelric and the team seem to be on it with fixing the teething issues so far.

Will update once I’ve had more experience with the camera & app

now not downloading photos to be developed

Don’t get happy if it works at first…
After using the first roll from getting my camera, just took a few photos to check out the app, it worked no problem with Bluetooth, but now the second time using it won’t download my roll of film when connected to app. Not sure what changed from using it last but there is a problem. Doesn’t download photos and just connected but doesn’t download. Keeps saying to keep app and phone unlocked but it’s been stuck like that for quite some time. Not sure if it’ll lose my photos or ever be unloaded. Can’t put a new roll because it says 00 on it and hasn’t downloaded my roll. Why isn’t it working now from working so well before? The camera is now useless and can’t be used as I cannot upload a new roll of film. Waste of money if this isn’t fixed. Is this an iOS issue or all phone issues? Most people with same issue. Don’t waste your money.

Early days for the app, a little limited

Overall the concept behind flashback is solid, but there are some things about the app that just seem clunky. Developing time being one of them. Personally I think the camera’s internet connection/wifi is a great feature - all the digital cameras that I’ve had never send directly to my phone, but flashback does it well.
Hoping to see an update soon, and fingers crossed for some new film stocks? I’m intrigued to see whether the monochrome film fairs better than the colour film on my next reel.
