Amazing app
I’ve been using this app for about 2.5 years and decided to buy premium around 2 years
ago when I started training more seriously around March 2018. I love how it keeps track of all my previous workouts and I can custom create a workout, so each week I can see what weight I did and which exercises without having to go through a lot of effort.
The free version is very good. Do not pay for Pro
The free version of the app is very good, not perfect but definitely a usable tool. It will track your last sets of an exercise to allow you to build your strength. The paid version simply doesn’t work. In my attempts to get the paid version to work I ended up losing all my saved workouts so the app has been deleted. It’s a solid 4/5 for the free version but 1/5 for the paid version, but as support gave clear instructions on how to get a refund and I got my money back quickly I’ll move the overall review to 3/5.
Good, but still room for improvement
Having used 'Gym Buddy' since owning my first iPhone it did pretty much everything I needed, however they aren't updating the app anymore, and with the next IOS update it won't work at all, hence why I decided to find a replacement.
Fitlist is the best of the trackers that I tried out of the ones you could try first, so decided to go with the premium version.
Things Fitlist falls short on:
Being able to see the recommend sets programmed into a workout, as well as the previous. You seem to have to go back and forward through a lot of screens to get this information.
The Timer doesn't seem to make a noise or vibrate? Usually I'll have my phone in my pocket or on another app. It would be nice if it alerted you somehow
Apart from that it seems pretty good.
