ESS 41 - Reflexis One 4+

Most colleagues don’t receive notifications at shift changes, some colleagues still can’t log in at all, and all colleagues struggle to actually open the app, as it always opens with blank white squares upon the first few attempts. The app isn’t fit for purpose, it is simply impossible from a HR perspective to hold colleagues accountable for their own attendance when this is their way of checking their rota. If the rota app doesn’t work, you can’t blame the colleague for being late or AWOL, as you can’t prove that they knew anything about their shift. This app falls to bits in any kind of disciplinary meeting or tribunal related to attendance. It’s unacceptable for a large company to force staff to use a system this bad.

Pushed on us too early, why not wait until the entire app was fully functional? On the day it went live I had 4 colleagues who didn’t know their shift times for the next day, I had to help several colleagues to get the app set up and was then told that next weeks shifts are all wrong!! Signing in all the time is a real pain in the A, but I’ll definitely never forget my email address. The app is a good idea and I’m sure once it’s ‘ready’ it will be really useful, just at the moment it feels like we’re testing an app made as a project by primary school children.

Somewhat of a great app however there are some bugs I have run across. Sometimes when logging into the app the screen goes blank and it takes a few times to get back in. And I never ever receive push notifications. Only a few of my other colleagues do and sometimes I don’t know whether I am coming or going. It can be a pain especially when shifts are changed last minutes and I can’t be checking my rota 10x a day just to make sure I am in. Please work on the notification issues and the blank screen.
