The app was great when I got it but over time, I've not been receiving notifications for "what are you drinking" despite moving the cup around and filling it up with boiling water. Would also be nice to auto track caffeine without me having to select it. I drink tea mostly so let me have that as the default caffeine tracking profile if I haven't made a selection otherwise after 10 mins of the mug being filled up

This app is horrendous. I purchased an Ember Mug 2 as a Christmas present for a family member. We spent a frustrating few days attempting to get the app to connect to the mug with an iPhone 14 and an iPhone 14 Pro. The app would always refuse to connect. We reached out to customer support for help only to be told that the app is only really useful for changing the drink temperature and we probably want the default temperature anyway. 🙄.
Over 4 months later and I thought I would download the latest version of the app and see if this Bluetooth issue has been resolved. Nope, still refuses to connect. I see from other reviewers that people have been told the mug will just not connect to an iPhone 14 🤷🏻♂️.
So, please take heed of this warning. This app is horrendous, absolutely refuses to work on an iPhone 14, and Ember customer support is a joke.
Good device but software very poor
I have owned and the ember mug daily for 8 months now. It works fine but software glitches really let the product down. Initially it worked fine for a while. Then I got a firmware update notification advising me to upgrade. This proved impossible as the update process continually failed to upload the software. After a couple of months this problem was fixed but then mug began not connecting to the app. Each time I used it I had to re-pair the device on Bluetooth. This issue continues and has never been resolved. I have now received another software update to install and.... it fails to complete the update. My advice is 1. Get some competent programmers to work on the app and mug firmware. 2. Test the software before releasing it.
