Description
Dwarf Fortress is a famous fantasy world simulation/management game from Bay 12 Games. This app allows you to play Fortress Mode remotely on your mobile device.
Dwarf Fortress is an open-ended fantasy world simulation/management game from Bay 12 Games, which is in constant development since 2002. In Fortress mode, player indirectly controls a group of dwarves, attempting to construct a successful and wealthy fortress. The game features a highly detailed procedurally generated fantasy world with multiple civilizations and wildlife, realistic geology, weather effects. You will have dozens of different building and items to construct, hundreds of materials, advanced military system, agriculture, sieges and underground monsters, diplomacy and trading.

What’s New
Version 3.03
This update fixes a few issues, including missing designation dimensions display and changes to shadow density setting not applied right away. We also added a small border around rough-hewn walls to help them stand out from the surrounding floor in certain situations. The border opacity can be adjusted in settings. Lastly, we made some fixes and improvements to the tileset.

Happy dwarfs all round!
Tested for ipad / iphone. I remember when the developer announced on the forums he was working on this, and wow, this is smashing. I can imagine this being a ton of work to produce but I hope he continues to add to it, its very well made indeed and a joy to play this way. Setting up the backend for it is easy and means you can play anywhere with internet, runs great too. I would love to see some kind of sound sense in the future to really complete it along with any 3d thats possible (thats flaky on desktop so cant hope too much on that one). Anyways cheers for this, keep up the good work!
Fantastic way to play Dwarf Fortress!
Possibly the best way to play DF and certainly the only way on iOS. The UI enhancements and controls feel natural on iOS and are actually an improvement on the standard game.
I’m looking forward to the promised UI customisations and hope we will possibly get full mod & DFHack support I’m the future.
Note: you will need either the very reasonable subscription or your own server (or possibly just your desktop pc) to play, this is effectively a remote connection to the game (who would have guessed with the app name).

Ok... I understand that you tried to make this work on a mobile device, but I’m afraid to inform you that it is not easily accessible for people who have little understanding of servers, or for people who were hoping for a nice little mobile game of a game they quite like.
If you do not understand servers, or do not have a server to join, then please do not install this game. It is a waste of money. I myself would love to be able to play this game, but unfortunately for me, the creators of this game have not made it simple and easy, and so I cannot play, and am left disappointed.
If you’re going to make a game, don’t base it off servers if you don’t make it readily accessible.
