Description

Downpour is the best way to make games on your phone. Collage together photos, drawings and text, and then connect them together into a branching story. It's genuinely quick and easy to use — you can make a game before your tea has gotten cold.

Once you've made a game with Downpour, what then? You can share it within the app, allowing other people to play games and follow you, or you can share the link and anyone can play.

Really Cool & Fun with Friends

Well done. It’s not too complicated and you’re able to get making games quickly!

This game is most fun with friends. While I can follow my friends, I can’t like or comment on their games. I also cannot see how many people have viewed my game after I’ve published it. For games like this, some sort of ‘popularity’ or ‘fame’ system is essential, especially if you’re posting your own works.

If you don’t want to monitor several comments, a ‘liking’ system would still be just as effective.
This system would make the game!

Good luck!

Thank you! And I liked your game! And yes, I agree that you need some more feedback after posting. I do have some plans in that direction...

The future is user gen games

I’ve been saying for a while that the future of a/c will be normal users creating games and everything we consume will be built on a game engine - music, film, TV shopping… everything. So whilst it took me a while to get my head round this and I am not a coder brain - this really helped me learn to storyboard, overcome my anxiety of trying to complete something that makes sense and then just making myself work it out taught me how to just stick at it. I came back to it a couple of times as I couldn’t work it out. Also typing on mobile requires needle fingers which sometimes I feel I don’t have. Anyways. I made a game! I’m so proud of myself but most of all I love the brains of the other people on this. I laughed so much making tea or guessing the contents of a festival toilet. Beautiful.

The best game ever

It starts off with one and then basically you get to create your own game which is the best and it started off with an egg one and then basically it was really fun after I got to explore different ones and create my own ones like it says in the title best game ever
