Diary With Password 4+

I’ve never really believed in diary’s and never thought that a book was safe from all my siblings, so having one on my phone with a secure password is wonderful. Whenever you leave the app or swipe down to maybe check the time or something, it turns on the passcode screen and won’t let you back in unless you type in the password. This is a really good feature because say someone does manage to get hold of your phone while your writing, it can be really easy to hide what you’ve been writing if you want it to be private. You can change the font and layout and the password for free. You can add the time with a single tap and you can star certain entries with another tap. Sure, there are some premium features like different password modes, dark mode, Touch ID, but none of this is necessary to use the app. There are also no ads which is so helpful and amazing. Overall, I personally can’t find any flaws with this app. This is coming from someone who never liked diaries. I genuinely recommend this diary app. It’ll make everything so much easier and it’s nice to know you have a safe place you can rant in and it be secure.

I downloaded this app because I recently found out I love typing weather it’s a text message to a homework assignment. This app is really good for things like that. I’ve noticed when I’m typing I often like to rant and with this app I can rant all I want and it really helps. I can also includes some sneaky swear words if I’m feeling angry, because I know no one in my family can access it. This is because of the passwords feature. You think of a 4-digit password and enter it in, it will then make you type it in again to make sure your still the same person and you still remember. This password feature is also really good because even if you scroll down slightly to look at the time it brings you right back to the password word screen to whether it again before moving forward. I have noticed there are some VIP type of things in settings. But there not really needed. You can live your full life on this diary without even needing the VIP. The only thing about this app that I don’t like is that it’s slightly annoying to get used to. But that’s the problem with any: game, app etc. overall I highly recommend this app it really helps me went I want to rant and I can type things safely knowing my parents can’t get to it xx

It's a great minimalist way to keep track of your daily life, and scrolling through months and days is super easy and you can even search key words to find a particular entry which is super handy. I have the pro version which is cheap and cheerful and you can customise the font of the text which is nice, but I wish there was customisation for changing the colour of the theme of the layout as there is no customisation at all for that and it can look a bit plain and boring.

However what actually stops me from giving this app 5 stars is that it doesn't automatically back up to iCloud and you have to do it manually everytime you make any change, which I could live with if it just took a second to do so, but it takes up to 30 seconds and worst you have to stay on the app while it does this. Doesn't seem like that big of an issue until you have to do this every single time you add to the diary or make any kind of edit, just to make sure it's safe in iCloud.

But overall it's by far my favourite diary app, it's clean, simple, minimalist and efficient, just what I was looking for. If they could make backing up to iCloud automatic, or at least done quicker, it would make the app perfect to me.
