Eden: Self Care Habit Tracker 4+

I never write app reviews but I love this app so much I want to support it as much as I can.
Unlike any other habit app I’ve ever used, this one actually works for me!
It feels so non judgemental and I love that it doesn’t work on building a “streak” because then when you break a streak you feel dispirited and give up whereas on this app not doing your habits for a day makes your plant wither a little bit so you want to repair it by recommitting to your list the next day. I also love the timer feature which helps me remember that jobs that can sometimes feel massive and unachievable, like making the bed, actually only take a few minutes and can be done to the peaceful background music provided by the app.
I hope you continue to add more gardens and also more suggestions for good habits for those of us who want to improve our daily routines but don’t really know where to start.

I wasn’t too sure about this app but saw someone else say they found themselves struggling with other apps but loved this one. I’m glad I’ve given it a go as I love it too! The aesthetic is calming and the design is simple but pretty. I find it’s easy to stay focused and not get distracted by an overwhelming amount of options or tabs or settings. It’s just exactly what it needs to be. The music and basic customisation is sweet and I love the idea that fulfilling habits grows your garden.

I get what people are saying about once you’ve grown your flower there’s no incentive to continue without having to pay, but it’s a really small subscription cost and I’m happy contributing to a small growing app for less than the price of a coffee 😅 I don’t think the premium costs are anything to complain about.

I’ve been looking for a ‘goals’ type app for a while and they are all really aggressively focussed on being ‘productive’ (ie work and exercise). I’m very unwell and almost entirely bedbound but I still have things I want to do to improve my day such as setting intentions, drinking enough water, doing meditation, limiting screen time etc. This app is perfect for me because it’s so gentle in terms of me just being able to make a list of my daily goals and the aesthetic is very gentle and calm rather than the app feeling like it’s screaming BE PRODUCTIVE at me every time I open it.
