Amazing facts. You gave us a brilliant insight into such a unique historic occasion. I’m so happy knowing so many share my interest in the life and times of Henry 8th. Thank you Lucy and Alden for presenting your information in such an absorbing and all encompassing way - every aspect of the event - people, tent details, food, activity and fascinating small details.

Intermittent problems using this app on the iPad for the Hay Festival May 2020, and it clearly needs some work, especially on providing better information for attendees. When it does work, it’s fine. But people have had to post comments in the chat to find out basics like - how to hide the chat.
The most frustrating problem has been that if I go into the event before the start, when the speaker comes on I can’t see or hear them, and I have to close the app and reload it. That has meant missing the first few minutes of several events, as they haven’t all started on time.
Coming out of an event isn’t straightforward either, I have to close down the app completely rather than having a X to click.
Another issue is that it’s not possible to edit one’s profile in the app, so my full name was visible in the first few events. I had to contact Crowdcast support to find out how to change it - going into my computer to do that.
Come on Crowdcast, if you want to be big in this business you need to improve the performance for all of us attendees - 13,000 people in one Hay Festival event. That’s a big potential market.

Had trouble and successive error messages trying to join a Hay Festival presentation I was looking forward to. Spent a frustrating half hour trying to log on, woops (sic) something went wrong, request a link, woops something went wrong, request a link, in a loop until magically the nth attempt worked though I had missed a good chunk of the presentation.
I thought I would try the app, but this was no better unless you like watching the circle spin round. This happened as it was trying to load my joined events and after 30 minutes have given up. Oh for the simplicity of Zoom. I plan to watch a lot of the Hay presentations and have registered for them. I hope this is a one off, but fear I will end up envying Sisyphus.
