Motion: Tasks & AI Scheduling 4+

The Motion app has shown remarkable improvement since its initial launch, evolving into a highly user-friendly tool with a clean, modern interface. One of its standout features is the flexibility and ease to identify, track and amend tasks, which I found particularly useful. While it seamlessly integrates with existing calendar habits, making the transition from other services effortless, I believe minor enhancements such as better clarity when selecting which calendar you assign new events to could elevate it further. My personal experience with the app has been positive, especially in terms of time management and increased focus, making it a worthy contender among top calendar app.

Very horrid experience with this company. After trialing the app and noticing it would not benefit me as much refund and cancellations have become a nightmare. First of it took weeks before they even responded to my cancellation request and even longer to process a refund. To top it all off the company still continues to debit £27 from my account every month even after cancellation. I have written to the company several times to no avail.

It’s as though once they get your card details then the service drops considerably. Secondly, there is barely any support from this company. Setting up was horrid and took days to even get it integrated with my calendar. The interface in the ads are completely different and misleading.

If I had a better experience it would have been worth using this app. But for a little over an average app with a horrid experience I find it hard to consider reusing this app. And as I type this I am still awaiting a response from customer service regarding cancellation and refunds after months of making contact. Very disappointing.

There’s a lot of potential here, but it’s very expensive given that it doesn’t support push notifications for calendar events on mobile. This is such a glaring and basic omission that it makes me question the core competency of the entire operation. I purchased this app to manage my time in one place, as I have multiple different calendars. You’d think getting a notification on your phone for an upcoming event would be non-negotiable functionality. On top of this, the design feels dated / bare bones / gloomy. I’m all for minimalism but again, at this price point you’d expect a more elegant and forward-looking interface. Both the “Booking” and “Projects” functions are clunky, limited and quite far off being able to replace dedicated project management and booking software. All that said, the automatic task scheduling works pretty well and if it can make significant improvements with booking and projects, as well as refining its calendar offering, then it could become an essential platform and good value. I will update my star rating if this ever happens!
