Fraud protection

The app also gives you additional protection from fraud. This is because we alert you of any account changes such as new device registration & if there are a change of details.

Logging in

You’ll need your online banking username, password & 6-digit security code to log in.

If you’re not registered for online banking, you can either do this by tapping 'Register for online banking' in the app, or register for online banking on our website.



Device compatibility

For security reasons, you’ll need to be using iOS 15 or above. You also will not be able to use the app if your device is jailbroken.

If you are not able to update, you can log into online banking to access your accounts.



Terms of use

We collect non-personal user data to monitor how well the app works. For example, measuring how long you spend on a particular screen. We collect a limited amount of personal data to allow you to use the app, for fraud prevention purposes & to help us to fix problems & improve the app for everyone. Everyone is opted in to this feature. If you do not want us to process your personal data in this way, please delete the app. If you download the app, you consent to sharing how you use it. Important information

We will not charge you for downloading or using the app. However, your mobile network provider may charge you for data use, depending on your tariff or contract. Contact your operator for details. You may also use this service when connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Out dated

Only joined this bank this year. Downloaded this app as my experience with my old bank Santander was very good. This app is nothing like what i was used too very disappointing and stressful. It logs me out constantly at least once every week telling me its unable to tell if its secure and telling me to restart the app however unfortunately i have no way to restart it as it does not give me any option so have to delete it and reinstall it every week so frustrating. Recently lost my card so immediately logged on my app to freeze my card however was no option to freeze or report my card lost just gave me telephone number to ring. Took ages to get through on the phone and was then passed to someone else, had someone found my card and decided to use the contactless feature in the time it took me to report it missing someone could of easily used it and spent my money. This app needs up dating with the times far to basic. Freeze card needs adding and option to block card when missing

Always down.

I’ve been a long-time user of the Co-op Bank app, but I’ve never known a service to be down as often as this one. It’s genuinely surprising how frequently I encounter issues with the app, whether it’s technical glitches, maintenance, or outages. I understand that all services will experience occasional downtime—once or twice a year for updates or maintenance would be acceptable—but with the Co-op app, it feels like these disruptions occur half a dozen times a month. This is simply unacceptable for a banking service.

What makes it worse is that these outages often seem to happen when I need access the most, especially when I’m abroad or in situations where quick access to my money is crucial. The app’s unreliability has left me stranded more than once, and it’s deeply frustrating that I can’t count on my bank to provide a service that functions smoothly, especially in today’s world where digital banking is so vital.

I would expect better from a financial institution—reliable, consistent access to my account is a bare minimum, yet the Co-op Bank app seems to fall short far too often. It’s concerning that such frequent issues still persist. It has reached a point where I’m seriously considering switching to a more reliable bank, especially one that ensures better service when it comes to international access and mobile banking.

Superb Banking App

The Co-op mobile banking app is superb. It is user-friendly but full of security features. I have used other apps, but Co-op is the best. It’s clean and crisp in appearance. I highly recommend the app and, as a consequence, would highly encourage those looking to changing their banking facilities. The banking products and the facilities, e.g. overdraft, credit card limit etc. are excellent. The one app brings everything together and is easy to access - easy for me! - I am very confident that the security is second to none. Also, most, important the customer service is to notch! It’s easy to contact a member of the team. An email will ALWAYS be sent 24 hours (in most cases sooner) Very pleasant and helpful. EVERYTHING YOU COULD WISH FOR! I have been with Co-op over 14 years and wouldn’t change a thing 😃
