Clic for Sonos 4+

Finally. It does what it says on the tin.

This is an excellent app and is a better player than the Sonos one. I have 8 speakers and a sub running off it and they start up together every time, unlike with the Sonos app where you can almost hear the system revving up to full speed. This app works so well that it has got me thinking about what would make it better. On a purely cosmetic level, I would love to have view where only the album cover was on show. I don’t need to see all the controls all the time. I’d love it if the album cover could be made even bigger too. Well done and good luck to you.

Cautiously optimistic

I’ve only had this for a few hours but have been prompted for a review so here are my initial impressions.

The build quality seems good, although the MacOS version has already crashed once.

Feature-wise, it seems strong and reasonably (although not brilliantly) intuitive, and I’m not wild about having to ‘unlock’ (ie pay) to utilise fairly basic features. A free trial would have inspired more confidence.

A significant limitation for me is that I can’t access the ‘Recently added’ playlist in my Apple Music library.

I’d love an alternative to the Sonos app and I think I’ve found one here. On the other hand, I’m not expecting my family and friends (and colleagues on the work system) to all shell out £15.

So, in summary, this is a far better alternative to the Sonos app, but, I think, probably going to make less at £15 a pop than it would at say a fiver.

Thank you for the thoughtful review, the latest version should address the crash.

You can access recently added in the home section for Apple Music.

There is also family sharing enabled for the yearly plan.

There is also a free trial available for monthly, I’ll consider added it for yearly as well.
