Description
Civil War: 1862 is the prequel to the highly acclaimed Civil War: 1863, incorporating the detailed strategic gameplay of the original while adding major new features and improvements such as flank attacks and strategic movement. Melee combat has also been given greater emphasis and the range of troop quality has been expanded to include elite units.
The game gives a unique wargaming experience on iPhone and iPad and includes 14 historical battles from the American Civil War in 1862, thirteen of which can be played as either side. Five additional campaigns featuring many more historical battles are also available via in-app purchase.

Sequel
The predecessor of this game was one of my favourite apps of all time. This game just doesn't seem to live up to the brilliance, not too sure why. I think I just preferred the style of the first, and the fact that every unit has a flag...Still a good game though
Fantastic game
If you liked the first ACW game from Hunted Cow you will love this. The graphics are brilliant and it's got handy in game combat stats that you can turn on to start and off once you are into the swing. I have not tried the new devise swapping but it will be handy to take up a game started on the iPad to play on the bus on the iPhone what a good idea.
Good game
This is a great game and I have always been a fan of the series. U have done civil war, rome and ww2 in two different settings. I thinki it would be really really cool if the next one was to go to Vietnam. To play on the American and Vietnamese side would fantastic as there are also no Vietnam Stratergy games out there but anyway thnxs for a great game :)
