Only solitaire app you need
Every game you may want. Easy to use. Anytime. Anywhere. Don't need an internet connection to play - big plus! So I can use it on the tube. Good size - so I don't need to dig out my glasses. I even downloaded it onto my mother's new iPad and used it to teach her how to tap, swipe etc. She is now equally addicted.
No use on iPhone SE any more
I have played this game for years on iPhone SE in landscape, but thanks to the ‘improved’ auto-scaling, when a card stack gets to a certain length, instead of the stack just squeezing up, the entire game just shrinks. Hence, towards the end of most games, all of the cards are just too small to see without straining. It’s just become too uncomfortable to play, and sadly I have now switched to another App, which is not as good overall (Card Shark has always been the best solitaire App), but on my new App I can see the cards throughout the game, which is a pretty basic requirement is it not? Sorry Card Shark, you’ve ruined your App for iPhone SE users :(
Why the change
I’ve used this solitaire app for years. When I opened it today, I found that it had been switched to a left-handed mode. I now have to reach across the played cards to reach the stock pile. This is both physically and visually awkward. I support the idea of making it easier for left-handed people to play the games but shouldn’t that be via a choice of layouts rather than something imposed on all? Change it back and this app gets 4-5 stars.
