Card Shark Collection‪™‬ 12+

I notice one reviewer accuses the AI of cheating and I do sometimes accuse "Spite & Malice" (Great card game available in App Store). My favourite game of the massive list supplied is Canasta, a terrific game. When I first played against the CS AI I lost quite a few games, now, because I have learned some of its tactics, I can win most sets. This does not concur with the afore mentioned reviewer's conclusion. The opposite if anything.

Certainly I have played better opponents than the inbuilt one but, and it's a big but, this is a game written by someone a lot cleverer than me. It plays to the standard of a human who has played Canasta in the past and still enjoys the odd game. It makes some silly mistakes occasionally. If it were human it would learn from its mistakes whereas the AI doesn't appear to. However, it plays and sometimes beats me. I think the package offers fantastic value and is as good as any card playing game I have tried and better than many. Perhaps there are other reasons for accusing the AI of cheating. Perhaps you aren't as good as you thought!

I love this app, it has an extensive range of games which are sometimes well explained in the rules. I would recommend this app to anyone who loves card games, it is the best app I have found. I’m playing the ad free version.

My only fault with the app, is that it doesn’t notify you of when a game cannot be won. Instead I’m am left playing and undoing moves to infinitude. The only way to end the game is to start a new one, but I would prefer to know if a game is unable to be completed, so I’m not wasting my time trying. This occurs in some of the more lesser known Solitaire or FreeCell variations.

I do love this app though, and I hope the developers take my comments on board in the next update! Also, perhaps add a hint button?

And I really appreciate it.
If you like playing cards, this is the best set available in my opinion.
There are a couple of issues though. Hence the 5th star not awarded.
For example, in the Gin Rummy game, the app often does not always pick up discards that would fit into its runs and sets. Why? So when the hands are shown at the end of each game, it is obvious the computer could have got a better score. This makes it feel a little unrealistic. If you had three 7s in your hand and I discard a 7 you would pick it up, right? I spot this sort of thing in other games in the set too.
But overall, it does not stop me playing. Nor does it stop me enjoying it.
I have written more than once to the developers but they did not respond. Another reason for the downgrade to 4 stars. Other apps I have had minor problems with and hence contacted support, have responded immediately and helpfully, the problem codes have been fixed. But not Card Shark, I am sorry to say.
Id love to see the glitches fixed and if they are, it will get the extra star.
I can still recommend this to you with confidence. Loads of games to choose from and nicely designed.
