Calex Smart 4+

My previous smart plugs and bulbs where starting to get very temperamental and would sometimes let me down on a daily basis but with Calex on offer at a near by store I took a chance by buying one plug and one bulb. That was four weeks ago and my home is now fully fitted with Calex lights and bulbs.
They are 100% better than previous smart devices and pair almost immediately, no turning your own light on and off 20 times to pair it as Calex bulb and plug tries to find you once plugged and to add a bit extra to having Calex my first electric bill came down with them so all I can say is a big THANK YOU keep up the good work and don’t go the way of previous smart companies did but continually up grade your firmware and the options on devices.

I have also suggested it to my employers to refit there entire building and four floors. So thank you again for a wongmmer

Great products, well priced, good quality and easy to set up. Overall I’m very happy with them but I keep getting alerts outside of the scheduled times. It’s annoying to have to go in and disable the alerts for each item every-single-time (🤬) I am home outside of the scheduled times. This is the key function for me and it’s ruining the need for the product to be honest. Probably a simple fix so please please please Calex

Firstly this is a great system and well built app, however if it did the following it would be 10x better:

1) Add multiple devices at once connecting to the same WLAN. At present you have to connect one at a time and retype the SSID and password each time.
2) Use an alternating colour to signify configuration instead of the epilepsy inducing strobing flash.
3) Have ‘fade up’ and ‘fade down’ instead of just on and off.
4) Be able to chain together tasks so that you can create one for example to ‘turn off all lights’ and be able to add that to other tasks without having to manually add each step to the new task.
5) Siri integration doesn’t work. A custom keyword doesn’t persist and reverts to whatever this app chooses. Most of the time the words chosen (eg ‘Lights on’) seem to be reserved by Siri and can’t be used.
6) Don’t display an annoying dialog after you have executed a task. It’s not necessary to know which lights have been turned on/off on the task and it’s just something else to dismiss.
7) Be able to define a set of colours that you can attribute to tasks so you don’t have to guess when configuring each bulb.
8) Have a preview of colour when setting up a task.

It’s great though and good value.
